Do I need a visa for TUNISIA?

Visitors to Tunisia must obtain a visa from one of the Tunisian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries. In September 2024, Tunisia launched an international tender to develop a national e-Visa platform; however, in August 2025 the tender was declared unsuccessful.

2. Visa Exemptions

Citizens of the following countries and territories can visit Tunisia for up to 3 months each visit without a visa (unless otherwise noted):

3. Non-Ordinary Passports

Holders of diplomatic or official/service passports of the following countries do not require a visa for up to 90 days:

  • China
  • Egypt
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Jordan
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Thailand
  • Ukraine
  • (Diplomatic passports only:) Albania, Cuba, Czech Republic, Iran, Pakistan, Uruguay, Vietnam

4. Organized Tours

Citizens of the following countries may enter Tunisia without a visa if travelling on an organised tour and holding a hotel voucher:

5. Electronic Visa (e-Visa) — Status

In September 2024, Tunisia launched an international tender to develop a national e-Visa platform aimed at simplifying entry procedures for non-exempt foreign nationals. However, in August 2025, the tender was declared unsuccessful after all submitted bids failed to meet the required technical and administrative standards. No e-Visa platform is currently operational.
