6. Transit Provisions
Qatar has two major transit visa provisions:
- Free transit for all nationalities: Travellers transiting through Hamad International Airport within 24 hours do not require a visa.
- Qatar Airways Stopover: Travellers on Qatar Airways with a layover of 5 to 96 hours may enter Qatar free of charge as part of the airline’s complimentary stopover programme. This applies to all nationalities.
